WHO is The Remnant?
The Remnant, simply put, is a youth church. We’re not like a typical church with pews or stained glass windows, and we’re not into religion; we're into relationships – first with God, then with other people. To find out HOW, WHEN, and WHERE we build those relationships, check out our Weekly Events page.
WHAT in the world is a remnant, anyways?
“Remnant” means “a surviving group of people” or “those that remain”. Our name comes from a place in the Bible that talks about a time where everything good in the world is under attack from an evil force, represented by a dragon. It says “The dragon ... went to make war with the remnant... which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
So HOW does that apply to me?
We've simplified the meaning of that verse into one statement of purpose: “EXPLORE CHRIST, LEAD THE WAY”. We desire to make God a part of our daily lives. We live the adventure of letting Him challenge us, strengthen us, and train us to take our lives to the next level. Second, we take the things we learn and experience and use them to lead others to the next level with God in their own lives. Nobody ever arrives, and nobody is ever better than another. We're all exploring the same God, and the adventure is in the journey, not the destination.
